Custom Railings & Handrails in West Chicago, IL
FOX fabricates and installs custom railings and handrails for residential and commercial projects — front-step handrails, stair railings, porch and entry railings, interior railings, and accessibility and ramp railing projects.
From a single front-step handrail to full entry systems
FOX fabricates and installs custom railings and handrails for residential and commercial projects — front-step handrails, stair railings, porch and entry railings, interior railings, and accessibility and ramp railing projects.
Residential and commercial railings
Residential railing work covers front steps, porches, stairs, and interiors. Commercial railing work can include multi-run stair railings, ramp railing systems, and coordinated entry handrails. FOX fabricates the panels in the shop and installs them as a set.
Accessibility and ramp railing projects
Ramp and accessibility railing projects are a common part of the work. FOX fabricates ramp railing systems for residential and commercial entries, built to fit the ramp and the location.
Replacement railings
Replacing an existing railing is a frequent project. FOX can remove the old railing and fabricate a new one to fit the same steps or entry. Send photos of the current railing and how it is attached so the replacement can be scoped.
Interior, exterior, and finishes
Exterior railings handle steps, porches, entries, and ramps; interior railings handle staircases, lofts, and landings. Styles range from simple straight-bar handrails to ornamental panels. Railing panels are finished in the shop — including primer and paint where the project calls for it — before delivery and installation.
What to send for a railing quote
Photos of the steps, stairs, or area are the most useful starting point. Rough dimensions — the length of the run and the number of steps — help, along with any style preference. If you are replacing an existing railing, photos of the current piece and how it is attached help FOX understand the job.
